Two Line Reviews - #127

Movie: The Truman Show (1998)
Plot: He's the hero of a television show that captures him and shows it live since his time in his mother's womb. He doesn't know that all characters around him are actors and the place he lives is a set. His pursuit of his accidental lover makes the makers of the show go berserk & does Truman realise the truth in the end?!

Highlights:
  • The director of the film Peter Weir, true to his name, has made one of the most weirdest concepts possible into a movie & has been successful at that.
  • Jim Carrey surprises with such wondrous films different from his comical ventures time and again & as Truman he is lovable.
  • The screenplay is engaging & doesn't add to the confusion the story offers in the first hour or so.
Lowlights:
Some camera angles shown are highly inconceivable & working out such a set is too complex to be believable.

My Rating: 9.6/10
