Two Line Reviews - #125

Movie: π (1998)

Plot: A mathematics obsessed scientist, who believes every form of nature has a pattern finds proof to his theory with his successful stock market predictions. Trouble arises when his computer Euclid crashes to reveal a 216 digit number that is sought after by business ppl for controlling stocks & by Jew Rabbis, for, they feel it is the 216 key to god. He can't take the toll & flashes out!

Highlights:
  • I am lost for words. Whatever was shown in the film has made me dumbstruck. This is the best psychological, scientific thriller I ve seen.Darren Aronofsky shall take a bow.
  • The acting of the guy who plays Cohem is psycho brilliant - Terrific & his tutor earns respect with his work.
  • The background music is apt & fits the film's proceedings to a 'T'.
Lowlights:
Too complex. Some anecdotes were incomprehensible for a mere mortal like me. For example, the Pythagoras golden rectange's relation to Da vinci's art work etc..!

My Rating: 9.6/10
