Movie: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011)

Plot: Professor Moriarty deals with guns and ammunitions and he anonymously sets european countries for a world war to let his business flourish. Holmes is as determined and witty as ever in trying to stop the professor from doing that!

Positives:
The positives regarding the unconventional and explosive treatment that Guy Ritchie gave to the firts part in the Holmes story holds good for this one as well!
Robert Downey Jr. does enough justice to the marvelously created Holmes character and even the mundane looks special when he makes fun of and puzzles his dear friend Dr.Watson.
The chase scene in the woods with the slow-motions and the descriptive stunts are as good as Ritchie gives but might have been overdone in the climax, but the final touch makes up for it.

Negatives:
Bringing down the roof at the German ammunition centre was unbelievable to the core; Something else might have been good.

Holmes doesn't get better or worse with this edition.

Movie: Revolver (2005)

Plot: A brilliant conman, after coming out of jail to play tricks on the man who sent him to jail, gets into the web of two ruthless money launderers. How he gets around them to get his target rid of his power is what follows.

Highlights:

• As is often the case with Guy Ritchie films, the narrative style is a positive; With the main character speaking words of wisdom to himself, we get absorbed to the events happening around him.
• Jason Statham, although not spectacular, does a fine job. The stammering sniper is the other one to watch out for in this film.
• The concept of three people spending years alone and getting to know each other inside out with clues is quite bewildering yet acceptable.
• The quotes and their significance in the film show the prowess of the screenplay writer.

Lowlights:
The suspense element (if it was meant to be one) was too predictable.

Not Ritchie's best but an Engaging fare

Movie: RocknRolla(2008)



Claps:
Taking a hiatus after Lock stock & Snatch,Guy Ritchie comes up with a similar film and doesn't disappoint. It is an engaging fare.
The roles of Lenny,Archy,One-Two & Mumble are etched tastefully.
Johnny Quid the rockstar and his antics.

Blips:
Unlike the previous films,there aren't many loops that run here. It is just between money & a painting.That is,kind of, a let down.

Movie:Lock,Stock & Two Smoking Barrels(1998)



Claps:
The screenplay with its hairpin bend connections - I m becoming a fan of this area of Ritchie's.
The wits,the innocence & the spirit of the lead gang
The final scene in the bridge symbolising "Many a slip between the cup and the lip"

Blips:
Not a realistic story,infact a bit weak wafer thin storyline.

Overall Score: 8.5/10
